Sierra Farm to Table
Sierra Farm to Table brought a Equinox Dinner to the Stonehouse and treated an intimate gathering of people to a delicious meal with local, organic and sustainable ingredients. Jim Gates, owner of Nevada County Free Range Beef, was the special guest for the first banquet style meal. Shanan Manuel and Pauli Halstead hope to continue to share their love of food with Nevada City, through classes, events and catering. With a menu of the included sausage crostini with chard, red onion & Sierra Pale Ale mustard, Nevada County Free Range beef stew with beer & tequila and chocolate Guinness stout cake, I’d say they’re off to a fabulous start.

Snow at the Outside Inn
It doesn’t snow in downtown Nevada City very often, so it’s always amazing to see Outside Inn covered with a blanket of snow. I’m glad I snapped these photos early, because the photos below were both taken today, within hours of each other.
