Briar Patch Co-Op has something for everyone, whether its fresh local organic fruits and veggies, local wines, healthy meals to go, amazing fresh criossants, tickets to the latest local performance or bulk foods.  Really, you just need to pop in and check it out yourself.  Their comphrensive website has information on how to get involved, cooking classes, supporting the local food movement or local businesses available at Briar Patch. Located at the round about on Sierra College Drive in Grass Valley.  Stack’d Everyday Napkins has generously offered up a set of napkins to one lucky reader.  Please post a comment here on this blog post about your favorite thing about Briar Patch and I will draw the winner on Monday, May 7th.

My favorite thing about Briar Patch is that I know that, whatever the healthful change I want to make to get my family eating better than we did last month, Briar Patch has the best food and ingredients to help me make the change: vegan butter substitutes for my pie crusts, creamed coconut, probiotic pickles… Briar Patch has what I need and the best choices.

  9. In addition to the great food – and those diabolical gluten free chocolate cookies – one of my fav things about the patch is people watching. Our community is so full of interesting people and the variety of folks who shop there is fascinating.

My husband and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Nevada City this month and we will be stopping in at Briar Patch for picnicking essentials including local wines. If you hover over the deli photo on their website, it says “A taste of heaven”! We are big time co-op junkies, can’t wait!
