Carolines Coffee Roasters

Holiday drinks at Carolines Coffee in Grass Valley, don’t you need a Peppermint Mocha, an Eggnog Latte or a Mexican Hot Chocolate?  While you’re doing your last minute holiday shopping in downtown Grass Valley, stop in to Carolines, enjoy a warm beverage and stock up on great gift ideas (holiday coffee, gift baskets, locally made tea, coffee mugs and more).  The Outside Inn’s blog has a fun little giveaway to help you recover from the holiday mayhem, post a comment on here about your favorite holiday beverage (coffee or non-coffee) and I’ll draw the winner for a $10 gift card to Carolines Coffee on Friday, December 27th.  I’ve even wrapped up the gift card holder in a special Erin- esque way (see below).

I made the Sun Liquor Aged Egg Nog (http://seattletimes.com/html/restaurants/2019828394_eggnogrecipexml.html) on 12/7 and shared it with some friends on 12/15. My friend Ken, who has had plenty of egg nog over the years, said it was easily the best he’s ever had. I’ve got more aging in the fridge now for when my family comes up for Xmas.

I love Caroline’s too. It’s so nice to have fresh, locally-roasted coffee. And everyone who works there is wonderful. I was there this morning for a latté, a scone, and three pounds of beans.

We’re going to Victorian Christmas on Sunday, but will be stopping at Caroline’s first to pick up our warm beverages. Im sitting here freezing in my office, thinking of the wonderful eggnog latte I’ll be ordering this weekend. MMMMMMMM. Feeling warmer already.

Carolines right now features what is, in my humble opinion, the best coffee in the world. Jamaican Blue Mountain.

Do not adulterate with cream or sugar, just savor it. Incredible!

Love love love them. The only coffee shop I know that roasts beans in house. Purchase their grounded roast espresso every two weeks and absolutely love their iced mochas. Even if it’s snowing, they’re the best. With whip of course.

We just bought a house in Grass Valley, and Caroline’s was one of the reasons we decided to take the plunge. Can’t wait to move into our new house and explore the many wonderful places in our new town!

My absolutely favorite coffee drink is an almond joy. Blended mocha with coconut and almond flavors. The flavors together is amazing.
