How are you going to celebrate Earth Day?  There are a lot of great local events this week to help you appreciate Mother Nature.  Stop by Sierra College Nevada County Campus today, Wednesday, April 20th today from 10am-3pm at the Bell Tower Squad to check out vendors, entertainment and activities.  Celebrate Earth Day one day early with SYRCL at the State of the Yuba, and find out how you can get involved to protect the watershed this summer season.   The event takes place at the Peace Lutheran Church in downtown Grass valley, click here for more info.  BriarPatch Co-op welcomes you and the kids to stop by the store on Friday afternoon, seed planting, face painting by Alice De Lite and an opportunity to talk to local environmental groups.  And while you’re there you can take advantage of their bulk foods sale, bring your own container and stock up!  Additional events this week include the Earth Day Bear River Celebration this weekend.  Leeann Brook is having an artist reception for her new Where On Earth Earth Day inspired show Friday from 6-9pm, click here for more info.  And Fable Coffee is offering a discount for anyone who brings in their own cup on Friday.  If you want to get outside and take some photos, don’t forget about the Instameet photo walk at 49 Bridge on Friday evening, click here for more information on that free event.  Get inspired, activated and involved this Earth Day season.
