Grouse Ridge trail area, just north of Nevada City off of Highway 20, offers a lot of great technical trails for mountain biking.  The trail system provides an abundance of technical, rocky trails that access several lakes, great views, and beautiful wild flowers. Park at Carr-Feely Lake and ride out to Glacier Lake and back or ride out past Looney Meadows and around Bowman Mountain.   These rides can be as long or short as you want from 5 to 14 miles.  For a detailed map of the area click here.  Photos by Dieter King.
