Treats

Treats, insulated ice cream container, Nevada City ice cream

What do you when the temperature soars and all you want to do is eat ice cream and go to the South Yuba River?  Guess what… we’ve got the giveaway for you!  Treats recently added insulated ice cream containers to their fabulous ice cream shop in downtown Nevada City, so now you can go in and purchase one, fill it with ice cream and take the ice cream on the road (for approximately an hour to an hour and a half).  So, for those of you who are dreaming of Mint Chip, Cookie dough or the salted carmel gelato, post a comment on your favorite ice cream flavor and we’ve got one reusable container and a $10 gift certificate to Treats to give away on the blog.  Winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 8th.  And because we all scream for ice cream, here are a few more photos to help remind you why you need to keep calm and eat ice cream.

I’m with you on the caramel, and it’s great when you just add the caramal sauce to it (my favorite combo is the pumpkin ice cream with caramel sauce).

Mocha almond fudge: has been my favorite for more years than I can count, but honestly, ALL their ice cream is original, fresh, and utterly delicious. I LOVE Treats. Great for Grandmas and the Littles especially.

You are a part of a special tribe of people who get to say ice cream whenever… we just see the drips and the chocolate mustaches and have a sneaky feeling.

Treats is a special place for my family, my grandson’s 1st ice cream cone on his 1st birthday was there. I love to go every fall and have the pumpkin flavor ice cream. Yummmmm!

Wow! Ice cream at the river! Excellent idea. We would need to bring mint chip, lemon custard, blackberry sorbet and maybe some vanilla.

Mint chocolate chip is usually pretty good. The mint chocolate chip from Treats, however, is something very special! Fresh spearmint and dark chocolate take it to the next level.

Butter pecan or chocolate chip cookie dough, or mint chip, or any! The ability to enjoy it on the go makes it that much sweeter!

Treats is a TREAT! Unfair to choose “a” flavor since I have never tried one I didn’t go wild for! Given that I am supposed to choose though, I’ll go for the smooth, creamy, rich and of course tasty Lemon Custard!

Oooooooh how can I choose? Well I guess it’s green tea but it was the mint chip……and before that it was the river hill red sorbet.

Seriously, just one flavor? I went into labor after eating the pumpkin…lemon custard is still my old stand-by fave, but the MINT CHIP is like nobody else’s…
