Nevada County Library has a lot of great events. “We have a book club for every interest. Our newest is the Forever Young Book Club where adults read and discuss Young Adult books. There’s also Wine & Read, which meets at the Smith Tasting Room — soon to be Cork 49. Then there’s the Bear River Bookworms who have quite the popular collection they’re discussing. Plus, Penn Valley has their Page Turners. Between all those choices, there’s sure to be a group you’d love to join,” explained Mellisa Hannum. Storywalk in downtown Nevada City, starts on Monday, April 30th, pages of Maggie Tokuda-Hall’s book “Also An Octopus” will be posted in 16 different businesses, starting point is Harmony Books in Robinson Plaza, click here for a map. To meet the author stop by the Madelyn Helling Library from 5-6pm on April 30th.
Friends of the Nevada County Libraries are holding their monthly used book sale at the Doris Foley Library in downtown Nevada City, if you can’t make it on Saturday between 10am-3pm, just remember the event is the first Saturday of the month.
