The Nevada City Farmers Market wraps up its summer season today. If you’re looking to stock up on all your favorite fall foods, the market runs today, Saturday, from 8:30am-1pm. Whether you want a cup of coffee, artisans gifts, olive oils or bounty of organic fruits and vegetables, come stroll the market and catch up with friends. What’s your favorite part about the market? Leave a comment at the bottom and share, or maybe a seasonal recipe that you suggest?
For a list for farmers and merchants, check out the Nevada City Farmers Market website, but shout out to these the 20 different farms who have worked the market over the season (including: Soil Sisters Farm, First Rain Farm, Fog Dog Farm, Riverhill Farm, Elster Ranch, Starbright Acres Family Farm, Super Tuber Farm, AM Ranch, Pearson Family Orchard and Mountain Bounty Farm). A huge shout out to Alan & Jo, from Riverhill Farm on their retirement from the farming community, many thanks for all your hard work. If you’ve never been to the farm click here and here for past blog posts. And the Nevada City Farmers Market manager Stephanie also said, “A huge thank you to 10 years of volunteering for the market, thank you Jane, Kathy and Jim.”
And don’t worry, the Nevada City Winter Farmers Market is open year round! Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of every month, 9-12 in Robinson Plaza, December through May. You can also subscribe to Mountain Bounty’s winter CSA box, a weekly box with pick up locations in 7 different Nevada City/Grass Valley locations.
