Grass Valley Wine Company on Mill Street, Grass Valley is a tasting room for three local wineries, Pilot Peak Winery, Solune Wine Growers and Bent Metal Winery.  Stop by a tasting, a flight or wine by the glass.  Live music every Friday and Saturday, click here for their calendar of talented musicians.  Now open seven days week, stop by and sample the Barbera, Tempranillo or Viognier.  Grass Valley Wine Company has offered one lucky InnSide Nevada City blog reader a free glass of wine, please post a comment on this blog post on your favorite type of wine and I’ll draw the winner on Friday, July 6th.

Thanks Athena! I’m sure you’ll find plenty of things to do on your own, especially scouting cool photo locations. But happy to help remind you of all the other cool places in our community.

If I win the glass I’m not sharing it… so you PEAKers better start making some comments.. my favorite wine is a glass of our Petite Syrah …but that is only until the 2009 Syrah is released and then that will be my favorite!

Favorite variety of wine right now, generically speaking: sauv blanc. I’ve been enamored of the Pilot Peak Viognier and Syrah.

At the winery we are now out of Sauvignon Blanc, Elle, Rose, Zinfandel and only 3 cases of Petite Sirah left – we will be announcing a big release party later in July for our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc, PrimoZin, Provencale and others!

Love the Wine. Co been going there since it opened….loved the ambiance of a glass of wine and listening to the great local solo acts and mingling as a pre dinner event. What happened???? Now very loud with duo’s and trio’s can’t hear ourselves talk, I wanted to go this evening but not attracted to the early evening showcase. Maybe would work for later evening after dinner!!!
