It is one thing to have a friend (or family member) who is a writer .. i mean that is just plain fun and how can we not read their books? But here’s the deal – Kim’s writing is incredible — i have so completely enjoyed every book i’ve read, and even bought extra copies to send to family members. Add to that — she is so darn humble about her amazing gift! we are so very lucky!!!

Wow, that’s quite a gift basket… but not sure I’ll make it to the event, so I’d be thrilled with the book. Love supporting our local authors, and this may be good fodder for my book club!

I keep giving Kim’s books to my niece in Colorado, who passes them around to all her friends. Can’t wait to read the new one. Can’t wait to visit The Bookseller on Saturday for all this hoopla! Cheers to Kit Hattem for her hard work running the place and to Erin for noticing.

“People think being alone makes you lonely, but I don’t think that’s true. Being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest thing in the world.”… I love this quote and get such a kick out of knowing the author is a Nevada County neighbor!!

Wonderful to see that the big box book stores and Amazon has not killed the local, small town bookstore and the hard bound printed book.

What a fun way to celebrate books and a local author.

The design on the bag is pretty cool, too!

We are so lucky to have such a full service book store in our community. The selection is great and the staff is really fantastic. I especially love the help I’ve gotten in the children’s section. It’s a great book store!!

I grew up going to this bookstore and now my kids love going there too. Every time we go to visit Grandma, they want to go to the Bookseller! Grass Valley is lucky to have such a unique local bookstore.
